The representation of the State of Qatar was officially launched in the Republic of Kenya in March 2012 when the official opening of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Nairobi took place.

But it was preceded by the  opening of the representation of the State of Qatar in the presence of the Ambassador / Jassim Albuainain non-resident ambassador of the country for  a period did not last long.

HE Ambassador Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Abdullah –ambassador of Qatar to Nairobi presented his credentials to His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki in the March 28, 2012 .

The Mission currently consists of the Office of the Ambassador and Consular Office .
